A young and exciting Digital and Direct Marketing Agency with a growing client base is looking for a Digital Art Director who will come on board and help them grow into one of the leading digital agencies in Melbourne.

We are a small team with a dynamic group of team players with the support and backing of one of the big players in the market. We would like this designer to help us to grow with the potential to building a design team under them. From executing innovative concepts to design and development for assigned projects including major websites, microsites, online campaigns and email communications, you will be taking this position on with passion and drive to continue the growth of the agency.

We are looking for:

  • Someone who truly loves the Digital space, who gets inspired every day by something new and wants to develop this into amazing work.
  • Someone who is passionate, has great ideas and knows how to bring them to life in their work – both creatively and technically.
  • Someone who will passionately lead the digital design direction and mentor designers and junior teams.
  • Someone who is a team player and thrives in a strategic and creative environment, and doesn’t mind the odd long pub lunch.

Skills required:

Your qualifications and experience

  • Experience working within fast paced agency or studio environment.
  • Experience working from a strategic level and generating ideas rather than just executions.
  • Experience with rich digital experiences.
  • Desire to be part of an Agency that is pro-active in integrated ideas and campaigns.
Your creative and technical skills
  • Ability to create well-designed and thought-out solutions to client briefs
  • Ability to show initiative in problem-solving
  • An understanding of User-Centered Design
  • Ability to give direction in creative visual designs, digital design and user-interface design
  • Comprehensive knowledge and skills in Adobe CS3 suite (ie. Photoshop and Illustrator)
  • Proficient level of competency in Flash, including some Actionscript (AS2/AS3 would be highly regarded)
  • A working understanding of and ability to design for HTML and CSS (JavaScript, AJAX and related client-side technologies a plus)
  • Experience designing and developing rich media banner campaigns and email campaigns
  • Other multimedia skills will also be highly regarded (motion graphics, video, photography, 3D, etc)
